MagneTrac in Flashing

QuestTec Talk | Flashing

In our first QuestTec Talk our sales professionals, Ben and Korey, discuss how flashing is actually similar to golfing in Houston in the heat of the summer.

One of our electrical engineers, Owais Arshad, walks us through the more technical aspects of flashing, and simulates the function of a typical magnetic gauge during flashing and two possible solutions for flashing or boiling applications.

Oversized Chamber Gauge

An Oversized Chamber Gauge with Guide Rods is a common solution for flashing or boiling applications. Guide Rods help push the float to one side of the chamber, allowing the outgassing to pass on the other side of the chamber, which keeps the float from sinking.

Perforated Cage Design

One of our latest, alternate designs, the Perforated Cage Design, is an excellent solution for measuring ranges above six feet. A perforated tube inside the chamber holds the float and allows for outgassing, or flashing, to pass unhindered.
